Let Me Be Who I Am

Let me sail through the summer June sky

Let me take long dives under the bath tub sea

Let me paint my images on the hallway walls

Let me eat chocolate ice cream and dirty my clean clothes

Let me stumble when I fall and put a band aid on my knee

Let me eat from the cake bowl after you have put the cake in the oven

Let me jump in rainbow filled puddles and get my feet wet

Let me pretend to be a superhero and want to save the world

Let me play the drums on your favorite pots

Let me express my thoughts freely

Let me make mistakes and give me room to grow and wings to fly.

The Destroyer

Over the years I have watched drugs destroy the lives of people that I love. Many didn't survive or overcome the addiction, instead the addiction out lived them.

I get inside people's minds

whether its man, woman, or child

I destroy families and friendships

I break up marriages even cause miscarriages

I make you lie, steal, and cheat to get a taste of me

I am the main cause of HIV

But it doesn't matter to you

Because I make you feel good like no other

But in the long run I take you slowly

But you're too high to even know it.
